All plans to recruit people into the Russian military from the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and parts of the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk regions have been carried out 100%.
This was reported in an interview with Suspilne by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov.
According to him, each of those who joined the Russian army signed a contract.
Budanov also noted that the Russians’ plans for the near future — continuing operations in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, as well as attempting to gain full control over the Donetsk region and maximum advances into the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Recall that in early November 2025 it became known that the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed a law allowing conscription for compulsory service to be carried out year-round, effectively instituting a “permanent draft”.
