On the night of December 27 on the Zaporizhzhia direction, during the execution of a combat mission, the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps Denis Kapustin, known by the call sign WhiteRex, was killed.
This is reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing the RDK.
According to preliminary information, Kapustin was killed as a result of an FPV drone strike. The circumstances of the incident are currently being clarified; the corps promises to publish more detailed information later.
As the serviceman and Mykolaiv activist Ilya Zelinsky wrote on social media, in spring 2022 Denis Kapustin, together with comrades from the future units of the RDK and “Revenge”, voluntarily arrived in Ukraine.
They took part in the defense of the Mykolaiv region and carried out combat and reconnaissance tasks on the lines of Kherson Oblast, in particular in the areas of the settlements Nova Zoria and Tavriyske, where at that time a defensive line was being formed.
