Unlike the Mykolaiv police, the Kherson police do not see any overpayments in the procurement of anti-drone nets carried out by the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Kherson Regional State Administration. That is why the investigation is being conducted by law enforcement officers from the neighboring region.
About this in an interview with MOST said the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
“The Kherson police do not see any overpayments. That’s it. Because we conducted examinations of these nets. We are ready to share them. And due to the publicity, I don’t know, an investigation was started. The examination will show everything”, – said the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Recall that this concerns a criminal proceeding under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (appropriation, embezzlement of property, or seizure of it through abuse of official position), in which current and former officials of the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Kherson Regional State Administration, as well as a number of entrepreneurs and companies, are involved. The proceeding relates to the procurement of anti-drone nets for the Kherson region. According to the investigation’s preliminary estimates, the damages may amount to over UAH 6.4 million.
