The Russian authorities allegedly intend to allocate about 2 billion rubles to the development of culture in the temporarily occupied Kherson region.
This was stated to occupying media by the so-called Minister of Culture of the Kherson region, Artem Lagoyskyi.
According to him, the funds are planned to be used for the modernization of cultural institutions, strengthening the material and technical base, purchasing musical equipment, replenishing library collections, as well as attracting so-called zemstvo cultural workers to the region.
According to Lagoyskyi, the main goal of the program is to increase the level of “citizens’ satisfaction” with the work of the occupying cultural institutions, as well as to increase the number of their visitors.
