Transit centers for the temporary accommodation of evacuated persons will be created in the Kherson city territorial community.
The relevant order was signed by the head of the Kherson Military-Civil Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
The document states that there will be two such centers in Kherson.
Transit evacuation centers – are special temporary shelter points for people evacuated from frontline territories that provide basic needs: food, water, medical and psychological assistance, the possibility to rest for 3-7 days, and also assist in determining the further resettlement route, including document processing and finding housing, with possible subsequent transportation by rail or other transport.
Recall that in August this year Shanko published data that from December 2022 to August 2025 from the territory of the Kherson community evacuated over 41 thousand people. Of them – more than 5 thousand children and 500 people with limited mobility.
