Compared to other regions of Ukraine, Kherson region over the past three years has occupied the lowest positions in terms of investment activity. The region’s share is about 0.03% of the total volume of capital investments in Ukraine.
This is stated in the socio-economic and cultural development program of Kherson region for 2026.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in 2023 UAH 444.25 million in capital investments were invested in the economy of Kherson region. In 2024 this figure decreased to UAH 345.84 million.
For January–June 2025 the volume of capital investments in the region amounted to UAH 83.9 million.
Recall that since November 2025 the Department of Economics and Investments of the Kherson City Council is headed by the son of the so-called Kherson political technologist (in his own words, – MOST) Yurii Pohrebnyi Denys.
