Another group of children has been returned from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region to territory controlled by Ukraine. These are – boys and girls aged from 11 to 17.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
In particular, an 11-year-old boy returned home; he and his father were held by Russian forces in a police station for refusing to obtain Russian documents and to send the child to the occupation’s school.
Also among the evacuees – two sisters aged 16 and 13. Their family was threatened with loss of parental rights and repeatedly fined for refusing to attend a Russian school. Despite pressure from the occupying authorities, the girls secretly continued online schooling at a Ukrainian school.
Currently all the children are in the centers “Hope and Recovery”, where they receive psychological support, assistance with restoring documents, housing and necessary care, the post says.
