Residents of the settlement Novovorontsovka in Kherson region published an open appeal to the heads of the Kherson OVA, Beryslav RMA and Novovorontsovka SVA. People are asking to urgently take measures to protect the community’s energy facilities, which have recently been repeatedly struck by Russian drones.
The text of the appeal was published on social media.
The statement says that over the past 10 days several transformers in the settlement were destroyed. Because of this, electricity periodically goes out in the community, and further damage could completely disrupt the operation of critical infrastructure.
“The enemy has stepped up: it attacks infrastructure facilities, vehicles, and civilians daily. In just the past 10 days several transformers in the settlement have been destroyed by drones”, – reads the appeal.
Residents propose installing anti-drone and camouflage nets, metal structures, modular buildings, or at least sandbags at transformer substations.
Residents of the community also mentioned plans to build a solid household waste sorting station in the village of Myrolyubivka of the Novovorontsovka community. More than UAH 1.3 million was allocated for its design.
“We do not need to spend funds now, during wartime, on a project for a waste recycling plant; we need electricity in every household”, – reads the appeal.
