From January 1, 2026, driver’s licenses in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region will no longer be automatically renewed.
This was reported by pro-Russian media.
And from March 1, 2027, the occupiers say, driver’s licenses will be automatically annulled if a driver is found to have medical conditions that pose a danger to operating a vehicle.
“The validity period of driver’s licenses, excluding automatic renewal, is 10 years. Driving a car with expired licenses is punishable by an administrative fine of 5,000 to 15,000 rubles and vehicle towing”, – stated in the post.
