The Kherson OVA approved the Program for preventing and eliminating emergencies (accidents) and for operational response to them for 2026–2030.
The order was signed by the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin.
The total amount of financial resources required to implement the five-year Program is over 1.5 billion hryvnias.
Its main tasks are organizing and managing emergency rescue and other urgent operations, surveying areas of emergency situations and their containment, etc.
Specifically highlighted are the search and rescue of victims, providing them with emergency medical assistance, evacuation or relocation, as well as sanitary and special decontamination of the population, clothing, equipment, and territories.
Earlier it became known that the Kherson Regional Military Administration approved a plan to carry out special exercises and trainings on civil protection issues in 2026.
