In the temporarily occupied Arabat Spit the Russians are preparing to launch a sailing sports school “Russian Squadron”.
This was announced by a representative of the occupation ministry of resorts and tourism, Roman Kalinin.
According to him, it is a school for children aged 10–15 years. Documentation is currently being processed, and the first phase is allegedly planned to be implemented in 2026.
In the summer of 2025 the occupation governor of Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo announced an increase in tourist traffic on the left bank of Kherson region – however, the majority – families of Russian servicemen.
Earlier, Saldo admitted that there is no demand for tourist services on the left bank of the Kherson region.
