Russia may be preparing a technogenic provocation in the Kherson region, the consequences of which will be felt by EU and NATO countries.
This was reported by «24 Kanal», stating that it received an intercepted combat order from Russian military forces, which allegedly indicates the preparation of new war crimes.
According to journalists, the occupying forces are considering strikes on critical infrastructure facilities near the Dnipro, in particular on sewage treatment facilities. If these are destroyed, contaminated wastewater could reach the Dnipro, and from there – into the Black Sea.
The article notes that such a technogenic attack would have large-scale environmental consequences: from the death of fish to long-term contamination of the marine waters. According to the publication’s estimates, the strike on the ecosystem would be felt not only by Ukraine – toxic flows could reach the coasts of Turkey, Romania, and Bulgaria.
