Operational summaries, photo reports and briefings about the unit that are published by the official website of the brigade Lubart. Below — an account of how the Lubart Brigade made the journey from a volunteer formation to a full-fledged unit as part of the 1st Corps of the National Guard Azov.

Origins and evolution of the brigade
At the start of the full-scale invasion, Lubart appeared as a volunteer formation. Then — the Kyiv region, the south, the east, series of rotations and growth. As part of the 12th Azov Brigade the Lubart battalion left behind experience in urban combat, raids and small-unit operations; now the 20th Lubart Brigade is active — a deployed structure with assault, reconnaissance, artillery, communications, medical and logistics units.
Why Lubart keeps the tempo
- short cycle from reconnaissance and UAVs to fire engagement;
- small tactical groups with clear roles;
- rapid relocation of positions after strikes;
- standardized communication and tacmed protocols.

Structure and daily operations
Assault and fire teams cover sectors, reconnaissance and UAV operators provide data for targeting, artillery and mortars deliver strikes, communications keep the airwaves clear, medical and evacuation work without delays, logistics brings what is needed for the mission. Decisions are made based on the current picture from the air, orders pass through protected channels, execution is recorded, withdrawal or position change happens before the enemy can respond.
Training and coordination
The training system is modular. Base: tactics, shooting, tacmed. Then — specialization (assault, UAVs, mortars or artillery, communications, medicine) and coordination at squad and platoon levels. After each rotation — a detailed debrief of what was done: correction of safety procedures, updating TTPs, clarification of supply needs. This is how a single standard is formed from headquarters to the smallest group.
Supply and logistics
Lubart maintains a short supply chain. Equipment arrives directly to the address: drones, secure communications, transport, medical kits, engineering tools. Standard kit is supplemented by what is specifically needed at a given sector. This saves time and increases effectiveness in the pace of combat operations.

When an award is a benchmark, not a finish line
On Defenders’ Day the President of Ukraine presented the brigade with the Battle Flag. The banner was received by the brigade commander, Lieutenant Colonel Vadym ‘Yanki’ Krykun. Recognition by the state is the result of systematic work and a guide for the future: to maintain discipline, update tactics, and sustain the tempo.
Where to follow the unit
Official announcements about training, rotations and materials from the directions are published on the unit’s portal and on the Telegram channel Lubart_Brigade. There appear reports from training grounds, instructors’ interviews and summaries of targeted deliveries — without intermediaries and delays.
Useful to know
- Lubart vacancies open in waves: first basic and specialized training, then coordination.
- Rotation schedules are planned in advance to avoid exhaustion.
- Interaction with the Azov Corps ensures compatibility of communications, unified target maps and safety standards.
Lubart is a brigade that combines reconnaissance, UAVs, fire and logistics into one operational cycle. This is how they hold the lines and build tempo where it determines the outcome of battle. For current news and briefings about the unit, see the Official Website of the Lubart Brigade.
