The Flag of Hope – a nationwide symbol of support, remembrance and solidarity with prisoners of war, the missing, and victims of Russian captivity and deportation. It is a sign of faith, dignity and unity of the Ukrainian people in times of war, created as a visual code of shared hope.
The idea for the flag belongs to the commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former prisoner of war and public figure Serhiy Volynskyi. The first flag was solemnly raised on May 8, 2025 in Zaporizhzhia near the hub “Veteran PRO”.
The Flag of Hope appeared in Kherson for the first time.
