The Kherson region police are investigating a war crime by Russian military personnel who on March 7, 2022, fired on civilians in Chaplynka during a protest against the occupation.
The investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kherson region reports this.
At about 10:00 that day, local residents of the settlement of Chaplynka in Kakhovka district took part in a protest against the Russian occupiers. At the intersection near the exit from the settlement, Russian servicemen stopped the citizens and opened fire on civilians. As a result of the shooting, several people sustained gunshot wounds.
