Over the past week Russian propagandists invented several absurd fakes about our region. “Snowfalls” at +19°C, lies about the “crimes of the TCC”, fake “Myrotvorets databases” and other manipulations once again demonstrate: Russian “journalists” are not just detached from reality — they create a parallel universe in which real facts have no significance. In this article we collected the most striking fabrications of the week and explained how they were falsified and why they do not withstand elementary criticism.

Snowfall in Kherson

Russian “journalists” once again demonstrated that they are completely detached from objective reality. Recently they produced one of the most ridiculous fakes we have had to refute. According to the propagandists, on November 22 snow fell on the right bank of Kherson region. The precipitation was so heavy that it even damaged the anti-drone nets that the local authorities have been trying for several months to use to secure roads in the region.

“Ukrainian sources report that the anti-drone nets previously installed along key roads in Kherson were found to be destroyed after the very first snowfall. In addition, the posts that fell under the weight of the nets literally paralyzed vehicle traffic on the roads”, – the occupiers’ publications note.

As proof for their absurd claims the Russians provide “authentic footage” in which one can indeed see fallen anti-drone nets. Except that on November 22, when Kherson was supposedly “blanketed by snow”, the right bank of the region recorded an almost record temperature for this time of year of +19°C. Of course, no snowfall could occur under such conditions.

Some occupation publications later took this into account and corrected the information, but most kept the news about the non-existent snowfall on their sites. This indicates that most Russian “journalists” who present themselves as “Kherson-based” actually have a poor understanding of where Kherson is located at all.

Angelina Jolie in the “Myrotvorets” database.

Another blatant nonsense is the information that Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie was allegedly added to the database of the Ukrainian resource “Myrotvorets”, which tracks and documents individuals who commit crimes against Ukraine’s national security. This decision was allegedly made after Jolie visited Kherson.

“American actress Angelina Jolie after a recent visit to Kherson was added to the Ukrainian database ‘Myrotvorets’. The corresponding entry appeared on the social networks of leading Russian television journalist Vladimir Solovyov, where it is stated that the actress received ‘such a thank-you’ for actions related to her trip to the territory of Ukraine”, – the Russians claim.

As proof the notorious liar Solovyov even presents a screenshot allegedly taken from “Myrotvorets” showing what is supposedly Angelina Jolie’s dossier from that site. Well, how could one not believe that?

However, the information from the Russian propagandist, unsurprisingly, turned out to be fake, and Solovyov’s “proof” is no more than a Photoshop-created hoax. Interestingly, this information was questioned by the very colleagues of the Kremlin babbler, who were unable to find the corresponding page on the respective site.

“The actress could not be found in the database itself. There is a possibility that the report about Jolie being added to ‘Myrotvorets’ is a joke spread by Solovyov”, – writes the publication “Bloknot-Kherson”.

So Vladimir Solovyov, as it turned out, is not only a liar but also a joker.

Employees of the TCC ran over and killed a cyclist

Last week, a video spread by Russian resources about the alleged “fatal run-over of a cyclist by TCC employees in Kherson region” quickly went viral online. However, as it turned out, it is nothing more than another element of the Kremlin’s information war against Ukrainians. A combination of signs — from technical details to weather conditions — indicates that we are facing a typical Russian lie intended once again to discredit Ukrainian institutions in the frontline region. In this article we analyze which discrepancies reveal the fake and why the story described by the occupiers does not withstand any criticism.

“In the village of Kyselivka in Kherson region the human-catchers from the TCC ran over a male cyclist who was riding with a child. In the style of an African safari the human-catchers staged a chase after civilians, during which they fell directly under the wheels. As a result the man died on the spot and the child died on the way to the hospital in Kherson”, – the occupiers report. The Russians accompany this information with a video recording that supposedly proves the truth of the propagandist “claims”.

What are the proofs that the Russians falsified this video, and why this whole story is a lie — let’s figure it out together.

We were able to determine the make of the bicycle that allegedly was run over by the SUV. It is the PLATIN MD – 765. The model is considered a women’s bike and is intended for use by female cyclists with a height from 130 centimeters. How two men seen in the video could fit on a PLATIN MD – 765 is a big question.

And most importantly, this bicycle model is sold exclusively on Russian services, in particular OZON, whose operations in Ukraine, as well as order delivery, are of course currently unavailable. That means a PLATIN MD – 765 could in no way appear on the right bank of Kherson region.

It is quite difficult to determine the place and time of filming, but pay attention to the road on which the purported collision occurred. It is completely dry.

The publication appeared online on the afternoon of November 19. On November 18 and 19 the right bank of Kherson region, including Kyselivka where the tragedy allegedly occurred, was drenched with rain. Thus the video could not have been shot in that settlement on those days.

In turn, staff of the National Police “checked” the license plate of the car that allegedly ran over the cyclist, establishing that its owner lived in the Henichesk district of Kherson region before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. These territories are now occupied, and the car is likely located there.

“We also note that reports of a traffic accident with injuries were not received by the Kherson police today,” – added the National Police.

The tendency to create fakes about TCC employees in Kherson region is common for the Russians.

For example, in the summer of 2025 the local traitor Volodymyr Saldo claimed that representatives of the recruitment center shoot Kherson residents on the streets and break down the doors of apartments and houses where conscription-age men might be.

“The goal is clear — to try to complicate the recruitment process of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. One of the main methods of such hostile propaganda is the discrediting of the Defense Forces by resorting to blatant fakes. Another example of hostile propaganda is the widespread video of an alleged road traffic accident with casualties involving a person in uniform. We officially report — this is a fake”, – said the Kherson Regional TCC and SP.
