The wife of missing soldier Yevhen Kurkov was presented with the honorary breast badge “Golden Cross”.
This was reported on the page of the Tomashpil community of Vinnytsia region on Facebook.
Yevhen Kurkov was born in the village of Olhivka in the Beryslav district of Kherson region. In March 2023 he moved with his family to Yalanets in Vinnytsia, and in April the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The man served as a machine gunner of the 1st jaeger detachment of the 1st jaeger platoon of the 7th jaeger company of the 3rd jaeger battalion. For the eighth month he has been considered missing in the area of the village of Zelene in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, where he was carrying out a combat mission.
On April 22, 2025, for conscientious fulfillment of military duty, displayed courage, heroism and successful completion of combat tasks, Yevhen Kurkov was awarded the honorary breast badge “Golden Cross”. On November 21 the Hero’s wife, Nina Dyshlova, was presented with the award.
