The Occupation Council of Deputies of the so-called Chaplynskyi municipal district (territorial unit introduced by the occupying authorities, name – MOST) on the left bank of Kherson region adopted a decision to introduce a land tax.
The relevant document is posted on the pseudo-administration’s website.
The tax will take effect on January 1, 2026. It must be paid by everyone – both enterprises and ordinary citizens who own land, use it indefinitely, or have the right to inherited ownership.
The amount of the tax depends on what the land is used for. Most people who have land for personal needs will pay at a rate of 0.3% of its normative price. This includes owners of agricultural plots, plots for residential development, plots for conducting personal subsidiary farming, gardening or vegetable growing, as well as plots for defense and security.
Exempt from paying the tax are the occupation local self-government bodies and state institutions controlled by the Russian Federation, people with awards (“Heroes of the USSR”, “Heroes of the Russian Federation” etc.), citizens with disabilities, veterans, as well as persons affected by radiation. In addition, the benefit is granted to pensioners and people who have reached retirement age.
All other lands are taxed at a higher rate – 1.5% of the normative price.
Recall that earlier a similar tax was introduced in the territory of the so-called Verkhnerohachytskyi district.
Earlier it was reported that in the TOT of Kherson region the occupiers are taking land from those who do not have a Russian passport. It is also known that the occupiers plan to give lands of Kherson region to veterans of the so-called SVO.
