Kherson blogger Kostyantyn Ryzhenko claims that he recognized himself in photographs that the Security Service of Ukraine posted in a press release about preventing terrorist attacks and the murder of a media figure in Kyiv. He wrote this on his Telegram channel, IMI reports.
In the press release, the SBU reported the exposure of a resident of the Russian FSB who was preparing a series of terrorist attacks in the Kyiv metro and major shopping malls. He also received an assignment from the Russian special service to carry out a contract killing in Kyiv of a media figure.
The blurred photos published by the SBU indeed depict a person resembling Kostyantyn Ryzhenko.
Kostyantyn Ryzhenko lived and worked in Kherson until the summer of 2022. After leaving the occupation, he has been living in Kyiv.
The Institute of Mass Information contacted the SBU for comment asking to confirm or deny this information.
As IMI reported, on December 21, 2022 Kostyantyn Ryzhenko said that on the evening of December 20 an unknown person shot at him with a pistol. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel, posting photos of plates resembling bulletproof vest plates. Since then there have been no updates on the case.
