On the PlayOK platform, an Open City tournament in draughts-64 was held on the occasion of the third anniversary of Kherson’s liberation from the Russian occupiers. Kherson draughts players won a number of awards there.
The Kherson City Military Administration reports this.
In particular, in the overall standings Kyrylo Polevshchikov shared first–third places with two other athletes and became the bronze medalist. Armed Forces of Ukraine serviceman Leonid Bernikov was the best among veterans. Aliona Maksimova took second place among women.
Among boys under 16, Artem Filenko won, and Ivan Sereda took third place. Kateryna Didenko became a bronze medalist in the girls under-16 category, and among the youngest participants Solomiya Yakovleva won in the under-10 age group.
In total, 43 athletes from seven regions of Ukraine participated in the competitions.
Recall, Ukrainian figure skater, native of Kherson Kyrylo Marsak won silver at the Volvo Open Cup tournament in Riga (Latvia).
