Former speech therapist teacher of kindergarten No. 60 in Kherson, Veronika Voronina, who voluntarily agreed to take an illegal leadership position in the preschool institution, has been suspected of aiding the Russian Federation

Investigators established that in August 2022 Voronina voluntarily agreed to become the occupation-appointed deputy of kindergarten No. 60 in Kherson. Using the so-called position, she introduced Russian Federation educational standards into the preschool institution.
In particular, she organized the change of the institution’s name, Ukrainian symbols and teaching materials to Russian ones. She also encouraged cooperation with the occupiers, provided payments to employees in Russian rubles and organized the seizure and transfer of the kindergarten’s property to the occupation authorities.
Voronina could face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Recall that it became known in August 2022 that Veronika Voronina sided with the occupiers and forced employees of her kindergarten to write statements expressing their desire to teach children according to Russian programs.
Earlier MOST wrote that before her the position of deputy of kindergarten No. 60 was held by her mother Marina Voronina, who began cooperating with the Russians and prepared a showy opening of the kindergarten “Teremok”. And later headed the occupation’s “department of education” and trade union of Kherson region. For this the court seized apartments and a house of Voronina senior.
