President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the servicemen who defended and liberated Kherson in November 2022.
He wrote this on his Telegram.
Three years ago the blue-and-yellow flags that people had hidden for months once again fluttered in the streets of Kherson, Zelensky wrote.
“We remember that joy, the tears, the embraces. The gratitude when you see our people return. The occupiers fled Kherson thanks to the strength of our people,” — the president reminded.
The head of state also emphasized that Russia daily continuesto shell Kherson, ordinary people and their everyday lives. Russia has no place here, Kherson is Ukraine, he added.
Recall, the occupiers captured Kherson in early March 2022. It was the only regional center that they (the Russian military, — MOST) managed to occupy.
On November 11, Ukrainian forces entered the city, returning it to Ukrainian control.
