The Novovorontsovska community welcomed a Ukrainian serviceman liberated from Russian captivity: Sergeant Oleksandr Petrenko returned home.

The Novovorontsovska community greeted its fellow countryman – Sergeant Oleksandr Petrenko, who spent more than two years in Russian captivity.
The serviceman was captured on March 2, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement Vodiane, near Donetsk.
After prolonged years of captivity, Oleksandr was released from captivity on July 23, 2025, and on November 6 he finally returned to his home.
Sergeant Petrenko had been serving since October 7, 2022, after the village Myroliubivka was liberated from occupation.
Note that, families of soldiers missing in action during the battles for Krynyky in the Kherson region held a rally in Lviv.
