The native of Kherson region, theatre and film actor Viktor Zhdanov was awarded the title “People’s Artist of Ukraine”.
The corresponding decree No.818/2025 was published on the website of the head of state.
According to the document, Viktor Zhdanov was recognized for his significant personal contribution to the development of national culture and art, significant creative achievements and high professional mastery. And also on the occasion of the All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art.
Viktor Zhdanov was born and raised in the village of Kyselivka in the Bilozerka district of Kherson region.
He studied at the Kherson College of Culture, worked for several years as an actor at the Kherson Regional Puppet Theatre, and also at the Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after M. Kulish.
In 2009 he received the title “Honored Artist of Ukraine”, is a two-time winner of the film award “Golden dzyga” (2018, 2020) and a winner of other film awards.
Since 2022 he has been working at the Kyiv National Dramatic Theatre named after Ivan Franko. He has appeared in the films “To Catch Kaidash”, “Zakhar Berkut”, “Grey Bees” and others.
