Kherson State University rose from 46th to 31st place in the international Webometrics Ranking among Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The university’s rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky wrote this on Facebook.
The rector noted that the university’s inclusion in the Webometrics Ranking is an independent indicator of the university’s digital impact and its presence in the global academic community.
Recall that Webometrics Ranking is an international ranking that evaluates universities by their presence on the “Internet” and the openness of publishing scientific activity.
It has been compiled by the Spanish Cybermetrics Laboratory («Cybermetrics Lab») since 2004 and is published twice a year.
When forming the ranking, in particular, they take into account the citation of articles in leading scientific journals and the visibility metrics of external links.
Earlier MOST wrote that Kherson State University is awaiting the National Agency’s decision regarding accreditation of the IT specialty.
