From November 4 the Department of Economics and Investments of the Kherson City Council will be headed by Denys, the son of the so‑called Kherson political technologist Yurii Pohrebnyi (in his own words — MOST).
Personnel changes are reflected on the KhMVA website.

Since August of this year Denys Pohrebnyi had been serving as acting head of the same department, replacing Olha Evert.
Prior to that, Denys Pohrebnyi was the chief specialist in the investment projects department of the strategic planning division of the Department of Economics of the Kherson City Council, where he began working in 2023.
Earlier he headed the “Trading House ‘Favorit’”, founded by his father in the early 1990s.
Just before the full‑scale invasion, Pohrebnyi Senior arranged for his son to become an assistant to MP Pavlo Pavlish. He was supposed to make a politician out of the latter — tried to prepare Pavlish for events and promote him in the media. However, the aim was only one — to extort money from the MP in exchange for an imitation of vigorous activity.
In 2015 the father and son Pohrebny ran for the Kherson City Council from Anatoliy Hrytsenko’s party Civil Position, but were not elected.
Yurii Pohrebnyi himself is known for behind-the-scenes activity and pointless trainings that nobody needed, where people were forced to sing. He often changed political camps, leaving conflicts and scandals behind him.
He repeatedly took part in political campaigns — sometimes as an organizer, sometimes as a candidate, but without much success. After a series of lost elections and scandalous initiatives with “trainings for Servants of the People”, he joined Ihor Kolykhaiev’s team, where he formally became an adviser but had no real influence and was perceived as a charlatan.
