Kherson City Court found the chief accountant of the municipal enterprise “Kherson Municipal Transport Service” Natalia Tkachenko guilty of official negligence. Due to her actions, the state suffered damages of over 630 thousand hryvnias.
This was revealed by the court’s verdict.
According to the investigation, in April and May 2022, during the state of martial law, Tkachenko, while staying in Kherson, made a series of illegal transfers of funds from the enterprise’s account.
Using her electronic signature and having access to the institution’s online banking, she transferred funds to individuals’ card accounts under the pretext of their fulfilling the terms of civil-law contracts. In reality, these persons did not perform any work and did not provide services to the enterprise.
The money was transferred to five people in the total amount of over 630 000 hryvnias to their card accounts under the pretext of fulfilling the terms of civil-law contracts, although these persons did not perform any labor activity at the enterprise.
The investigation established that the accountant did not verify the presence of primary documents and acted contrary to the requirements of her job description.
At the trial, Natalia Tkachenko admitted her guilt and reached an agreement with the prosecutor. By the court’s decision, she was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with a probationary period and a fine of 4 250 hryvnias.
Recall, in April this year the former deputy director of the municipal enterprise “Kherson Electrotrans” Dmytro Serbin became the head of the municipal enterprise “Kherson Municipal Transport Service”.
