The so-called deputy head of the occupying Kherson Regional Duma, Ivan Shumakov, has gone to fight against Ukraine.
Pro-occupation public pages report this.
It is noted that Shumakov allegedly made a “well-considered and informed decision” and that this is an “act of a real man”.
Where exactly the pseudo-official will fight — is currently unknown.
Ivan Shumakov — in the past — was the general director of the private security company “Dnipro”, which is registered in Moscow. He now runs LLC “Zatyshny Dim” and “Zapchastyny” in Krasnodar Krai, as well as the charity fund “Team A”. The latter was founded in 2022 in Moscow. The charitable fund allegedly provides assistance to Russian military personnel and residents of the TOT (temporarily occupied territories) of Ukraine.
In addition, Ivan Shumakov is the founder of a number of security companies in the same Krasnodar Krai.
In November 2024 he was awarded the medal “Participant of the Special Military Operation” for “active support of the SMO”.
In September this year he became vice-speaker of the occupying Kherson Regional Duma.
