Former Kherson “Dnipro” hockey player and children’s coach Oleksandr Poyda was killed at the front.

Oleksandr Poyda was killed on the Kupiansk front. He was 53 years old.
The former hockey player was born in Kamianske in the Sicheslav region. He began playing hockey in his hometown and later played for the local team. From 2001 to 2010 the athlete played in the Ukrainian championship for the Kherson club “Dnipro”.
After ending his career, Oleksandr Poyda worked as a coach for the children’s and youth teams of Kryvyi Rih’s “Kryvbas” and Kherson’s “Dnipro”.
According to open sources, Oleksandr Poyda became the eleventh Ukrainian hockey player to be killed in the war.
