Volunteers of the charitable foundation “I Help” brought to Kyiv a vehicle that was attacked by a Russian drone on June 27.
This was reported by Suspilne.Kherson.
The damaged carriage of the “ambulance” was placed opposite St. Michael’s Cathedral. According to the executive director of the charitable foundation Anatoliy Dziubenko, the vehicle shows in what difficult and dangerous conditions volunteers work in frontline communities.
“This is the very “ambulance” our team operated in Kherson Oblast as part of the “Social Taxi” project. After a series of threats from the Russian forces, it was attacked by a drone as it was returning from another trip. Thank God, the foundation’s representative remained alive, although he suffered a concussion”, – said Dziubenko.
He believes that the display of the damaged vehicle should emphasize the importance of the work of humanitarian sector representatives, who risk life and health to help people who remain in dangerous populated areas, Suspilne writes.

At first the damaged “ambulance” was planned to be repaired, but ultimately they decided to show it to people as a tribute and as one of the symbols of volunteer life in frontline communities. The foundation purchased a new vehicle to continue its activities with funds from sponsors in New Zealand, Dziubenko told journalists
