A Chernihiv court found a resident of Kherson Oblast guilty of working in an occupation colony and sentenced him to 8 years of imprisonment.
This was revealed by the court verdict of October 22, 2025.
This concerns Oleksii Nikiforov, who in the summer of 2022 joined the illegal penal enforcement authority as a so-called junior inspector.
The mentioned Russian occupation authority was created on the basis of the institution “Northern Correctional Colony (No. 90)”.
As a result of the trial, Nikiforov on October 15 entered into a plea bargain with the prosecutor and pleaded guilty. For this, the court reduced his sentence from 12 to 8 years of imprisonment.
In addition, he is prohibited for 12 years from holding positions in law enforcement agencies and government bodies.
Earlier MOST wrote that Kherson resident Ihor Chepishko was sentenced to 12 years for working in the occupiers’ colony.
