To reconnoiter Ukrainian positions, the Russians began using specially equipped fiber-optic drones. They are used especially actively for reconnaissance in Kherson.
This is written by the publication Dzerkalo Tyzhnia with reference to Ukrainian serviceman Stanislav Bunyatov with the call sign “Osman”.
It is noted that on such drones the Russian military install digital cameras, very large batteries and a minimal explosive charge. These drones allow reconnaissance at very low altitudes and fairly accurately detect targets.
The serviceman notes that the Russians are already using such UAVs on almost all fronts, especially in Kherson.
“The enemy systematically used FPV drones with GoPro cameras – every day they flew around the streets, recorded visual changes and analyzed them in detail. Such drones did not pose a direct threat, but, for obvious reasons, no one dared to go out and shoot them down”, – Bunyatov said.
Earlier it was reported that in the UAV that attacked Kherson in September this year, components with Korean characters were found. Among the available characters is a marking of the Juche calendar used in North Korea.
