A resident of Odesa region has been charged in absentia with organizing the illegal transfer of persons across Ukraine’s state border through the use of his official position.
This was reported on the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office page.
According to the investigation, a 46-year-old man, the founder and director of a charitable foundation that delivered humanitarian aid from abroad, organized a scheme for the illegal departure of men of conscription age from Ukraine.
In 2023 he repeatedly submitted to the Kherson Regional Military Administration lists of persons allegedly involved in transporting humanitarian cargoes for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, medical institutions, and the civilian population.
Based on these documents, the administration approved permits that were forwarded to the State Border Guard Service. Having obtained them, the foundation director organized the illegal exit abroad of at least seven men who subsequently did not return to Ukraine.
Previously we wrote that in Kherson employees of the Kherson TCC and VLK organized a scheme to evade mobilization. The cost of the “service” was 700 US dollars.
