In the western part of temporarily occupied Henichesk, the occupation authorities plan to place a transport interchange hub and a multifunctional shopping center.
This is reported by occupying media.
According to the Russian “Unified Institute of Spatial Planning”, the planning project for the territory of the western part of Henichesk, covering over 45 hectares, provides for the reconstruction of existing and the construction of new public-business and warehousing facilities.
In the western part of the city the occupiers allegedly intend to create a transport interchange hub, which is to include a bus station with an area of 1.3 thousand sq. m, a railway station, public transport stops, a park-and-ride parking lot and a vehicle layover area.
There they allegedly plan to build a shopping center with a total area of about 7.9 thousand sq. m. In the northern part of the territory the occupiers promise to create public-business and municipal-warehouse facilities.
Allegedly, the total area of all non-residential buildings designed by the occupiers will be almost 22 thousand sq. m.
According to the occupation administration, implementation of the project will create about 600 new jobs.
Note, the Russian Ministry of Transport plans to allocate 12.5 billion rubles for the development of railway infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in 2025.
Note that, in January this year, the Russian authorities once again spoke about plans to build a railway that will connect annexed Crimea with regions of the Russian Federation.
The occupiers have for several years been planning to build a railway that will connect the Rostov Oblast of the Russian Federation and the occupied Ukrainian territories. The construction project allegedly underwent approval as early as 2023, but since then no work has started.
