Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha called the Russian drone attack on a UN humanitarian convoy in the Kherson region on October 14 a gross violation of international law.
He reported this on the X network.
Sybiha emphasized that Russia is showing complete disregard for the lives of civilians and its international obligations. The convoy’s trucks were carrying food and aid for those in need and were clearly marked with UN emblems.
“Two trucks of the United Nations World Food Programme, which were delivering food and essential supplies, were damaged as a result of a deliberate drone attack. Fortunately, all staff remained alive,” — the minister said.
He called on UN member states to strongly condemn the attack on humanitarian workers and to increase pressure on Russia.
Recall that this morning Russian forces, using drones and artillery, attacked UN humanitarian trucks in the Kherson region.
