At the start of the occupation, almost 25% of residents of the occupied Henichesk community in the Kherson region left — about 15,000 people.
This was reported to “Vhoru” by the Henichesk RDA.
Before the full-scale invasion, about 60,000 people lived in the community. But despite the departure of people, the population in Henichesk grew, because people from other occupied territories and Russian citizens moved there, the article says.
Recall that Henichesk became the main center of the occupation authorities – it was chosen because of its relative safety.
Earlier MOST wrote that the court confirmed verdict against the rescue worker-collaborator from Henichesk Vadym Pikul, whose son Oleksii Pikul became a pseudo-deputy of the occupying Kherson regional duma.
