From the right-bank part of the Kherson region, due to the constant threat and Russian shelling, about 51,300 residents were evacuated.
This was reported during a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters on population evacuation by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, among the evacuated – 7,000 children and 500 – people with limited mobility.
“For those who remained, conditions were created for living in dormitories and two modular settlements. Currently there are more than 350 people who have lost their homes”, – he noted.
Also, Prokudin added, a transit center for evacuees from the Kherson region is operating in Mykolaiv.
It was previously reported that in June 2024 a modular settlement was built in the Chornobaivka community, and another is planned to be built in the Vysokopillia community.
