On the left bank of Kherson region, Russian security forces conducted searches in the house of the former occupation head of Ivanivka of Henichesk district, a deputy of the occupation “council” and head of the local branch of Putin’s party «United Russia» Oleksandr Vasalatyi.
Journalist Oleh Baturyn reported this.
According to propaganda channels, the Russians did indeed come to Vasalatyi’s residence, but sources indicate that it was “only an imitation of searches and detention”.
Instead, his former deputy — collaborator and «policeman» Vitalii Liashko, known by the nickname Blendamed, — the occupiers in the morning took to the “basement”. In the evening of the same day the man was released.
According to local sources, Vasalatyi lost the position of occupation head of Ivanivka after a conflict with the so‑called governor of the left bank, Volodymyr Saldo.
Recall that, in the summer of 2025 the Russians detained Saldo’s business partner, who had been seizing assets in the Kherson region.
