The occupiers are transporting tomatoes from the Kherson region to Russia – in particular to the markets of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
This was reported by pro-Russian media.
It is noted that in the village of Kucheryavo-Volodymyrivka of the Chaplynka community, 17 brigades were involved in harvesting. People manually sort the tomatoes: ripe ones are sent for sale immediately, while green and brown ones — for storage.
The occupiers claim that this year’s tomato harvest is supposedly “especially abundant”.
Earlier we wrote that agricultural products from the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts are being transported by Russians to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, as well as to Vietnam, India and China.
In addition, last year the occupation authorities stated that seven “countries friendly to Russia”, had expressed interest in purchasing food wheat from Kherson oblast. It was also reported that flour from the left bank of the Kherson region was to be exported to countries of Asia, Africa and the Arab world.
